Terms of Service

E&E is a small managed online tutoring institute. We teach students online across time zones, on curricula including CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, A-Level and IB.

We are not a marketplace or a directory. You cannot browse strangers and book one. Every tutor is chosen by the institute and introduced to a family by a person, and the platform on this website exists to run that teaching: classes, schedules, materials, announcements and moderated messages between the people involved.

There is no public sign-up. Accounts are created by the institute when somebody enrols, whether that is a student, a parent or guardian, or a tutor joining us to teach. Applying through this website is a request to be considered, not an account, and applying does not oblige either of us to anything.

• You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@educationeducating.com if you think somebody else has access to it.
• One account is one person. Accounts are not shared between people and are not transferable.
• An account may only be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in somewhere new signs the previous device out. That is deliberate.
• Where a student is under 18, a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on their behalf and stays responsible for their use of the platform.

The short version: be decent, and remember that children use this platform. More specifically, do not:

• harass, bully, threaten or abuse anybody, or send anything obscene or hateful;
• use the platform to reach a student or a family outside the institute's knowledge, or to move a tutoring arrangement off the platform to avoid it;
• share your account, or try to reach data, classes or conversations that are not yours;
• probe, scrape or attack the platform, or attempt to get around the limits that keep accounts separate;
• upload anything unlawful, anything infected, or anything you do not have the right to share;
• impersonate somebody else, or give us details you know to be false.

Messaging on E&E is moderated and structured rather than open, and staff at the institute can see the conversations that take place through it. This is a safeguarding measure on a platform used by children, and it is not a private messenger. Please use it that way.

A tutor keeps the rights to the materials they create and upload. By uploading them to E&E, a tutor gives us permission to store them and to show them to the students and parents in the class they were shared with, for as long as that is needed to run the teaching.

Materials shared with a class are for the people in that class. If you are a student or a parent, please do not republish, resell or circulate a tutor's materials outside the class they were given to.

The E&E name, logo and the platform itself remain ours.

This platform does not take payments. There is no checkout, no card on file and no billing built into it. Tuition fees, if any apply to you, are agreed and paid directly with the institute by whatever arrangement we have discussed with you.

Applying through this website is free, and there is no charge for being introduced to a tutor before anything is agreed.

You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing support@educationeducating.com. A parent or guardian can ask us to close a linked child's account.

We can deactivate or remove an account if somebody breaks these terms, if an account is being used in a way that puts a student at risk, or if the person has simply left the institute. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so, we will say why.

Deactivating an account stops it signing in and stops it receiving email from us, while the institute's records of classes and conversations stay intact. Deleting an account removes the person's personal information and the files they uploaded, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We run this carefully and we take the safety of the families on it seriously. What we cannot do is promise that the platform will never be unavailable, never lose a message, or produce a particular academic result. Teaching is not a product with a guaranteed output, and no honest institute would say otherwise.

The platform is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit or opportunity, arising out of your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If something goes wrong, tell us at support@educationeducating.com. We would far rather hear about it and fix it.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell the people it affects by email. Continuing to use E&E after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
